The Captivity of Light

Caressed by darkness
in a cold unfamiliar to few
is a pale unknowing innocence.
Blind to touch and impervious to passion;
shallow thoughts churn deep.
Abducted by warmth, a corpse surrenders to a distant brilliance
succumbing to its grace and beauty.
Drowning in the purity of unfathomable joy,
a world unbeknownst approaches.
Life bursts forth infinity
and freezes quick in time
the timid touch of a vapor cold.
At the crux of essence—abandonment.
to darkness,
the bellicose soul conforms.
Effortlessly finding solace
In the sarcophagus of time
Rebuilding slowly
One thought at a time.

Omg, the blog lives.

Not so much with corpse, though. It's sort of... a corpse.
